A world where there is no such thing as fun and the sligh render movement or facial expression can get you killed. Winstons attributes inhabit of his disloyalty and his strong hatred for the Big Brother Party; and attempts to test the limits within the party by committing crimes throughout the novel. These main crimes attain conflicts between his romantic life, his personal sanity and well being, and the political government.
