The Great Depression was a devastating time in world history especially in United States history. Roosevelt had great ideas on how to bring this country back to life, in the form of the New Deal; an assembly of projects and programs to improve drill and bring back a sense of optimism to the American people. In October of 1929 the stock market crashed. Forty percent of the value of stocks was lost. Although this happened politicians and some big wigs in the industry stayed faithful in the concomitant that economy would move forward.
