Life is full of many surprises, those which atomic number 18 welcomed and those which are a shock to the system or a twist in the works. My life this year has been centred around this principal. Ever since I was little I was inspired to be a soldier, be educated and instruct by interesting stories from my uncle and his life as a British Royal Marine. The overwhelming thrill of his experiences in the Falklands further tantalised my longing to become a soldier. I process a coarse deal of respect for any men or women who serves in the armed forces, being able to show courage and politesse in the face of adversity and serving your country with courageousness and loyalty. These are the values which I greatly admire.
For me personally being a soldier is not characterised as being a job but a way of life, having the ability to set my values, beliefs and morals around a military structure is my clinical. I also admire the concepts of controlled discipline and respect, two values which I firmly believe have almost been bury by younger generations of modern-day society. Will this change afterward in life? I can confirm that with great confidence that my attitude towards these beliefs will not differ as time progresses.
