Referential Theory of Meaning

When you look at an object, there is always a signalise for it. For example, think of a soccer ball: it bounces, its round, and pot play with it. At its core, however, it is a ball though. The child would just begin calling each object the names given to it by those more or less him. This is essentially the basis of the referential theory.
If the listener in a conversation understands the correct meaning behind the speakers words, and vice versa, then it is considered an isomorphism. This is a common occurrence when having a conversation and ties into the referential theory as well. Isomorphism is ground around the meaning, which is known as a response by the listener, to the words produced by the speaker.
